My Passion for Filmmaking...

started at an early age. From making a video project for a class presentation, to a book trailer, to filming and editing my own YouTube videos. Most notably, when I was in the 7th grade my friends and I re filmed The Hunger Games. We were kids, there were some hurdles. But I casted, directed, acted in, and filmed it with a camcorder in my backyard. My old friend, who played Katniss converted the book into a script, meticulously including the parts in the book that were left out of the major motion picture. Everyone got so excited, our parents supported us as we would meet every weekend to plan and film something. Looking back, while this project was unfinished, as an adult who has gone through film school and worked in the industry of the biggest companies in the game? All we needed was the industry knowledge to propel us forward. It would’ve been done! With what I’ve accomplished and know today? That would’ve been fine tuned, but it sure was one hell of a start.

It's easy to forego your passions, to settle for positions that you don't fully align with, in order to be in the room. Graduating into the pandemic, I've worked in the art department, as a construction PA, and art PA, and an Art Coordinator. These positions gave me a perspective of what goes on behind the scenes with different departments, and has fine tuned a keen eye for interior design. But, while it's been fun to explore, I am being called back to my passion to direct, to be a leader.

My name is Brielle Carroll, and I am a director.
